Everyone has a song

Why we’re building Midhull, and who it’s for.

Most people have a song they never made. The one for their mother’s 60th. The chorus they hummed on the bus for a week. The lyrics in a notes app, written at two in the morning and never sung.

Making a song used to take an instrument, a room, years of practice and a lot of nerve. Midhull is our attempt to keep the nerve and drop the rest.

A studio, not a slot machine

We didn’t want an app where you type a line, pull a lever and hope. Midhull gives you nine ways to start: describe it, hum it, sing it, write it, snap it, dedicate it, tap it, remix it or sample it. Then it gives you a studio where you can redo one section, re-sing one line or change the key without losing the parts you love.

For everyone, in their own language

Midhull launches in English, German, French, Spanish, Japanese and Korean, written in each language rather than translated. Songs can be sung in each of them and in Hindi too, and we only add a language after we’ve made songs in it and listened.

Fair, out loud

Your first song is free. After that, plans are counted in songs, previews don’t use your balance, and a song that doesn’t come out right goes back automatically. We remind you before every renewal and you can cancel in two taps. Songs you make stay downloadable, even if you change plans.

Everyone has a song. We’d love to hear yours.
